Accessing the Damage
After the storm it is recommended that you listen to your local news before you go outside. There may be reports of downed power lines or flooding in areas so it is important to heed their warnings. Once you have determined that it is safe to go outside you can inspect your home for damage as well as the other houses in the neighborhood. Sometimes there is little damage and other times entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble. This is why it is so important to be prepared just incase we have a catastrophic storm. The way the the weather is acting now a days it's not a matter is if, but a matter of when.
